The tech4lib project was presented to the European exhibition and conference for Waste Management and the Circular Economy by the project coordinator. The presentation title was: “Technological innovations in lithium-ion batteries waste management”
Prof. Bontempi also coordinated the congresse Panel Discussion: “How do we Deliver on Circular Economy Targets to Significantly Reduce Waste?”
It was great to be part of this Waste Management Europe panel with such diverse experience and backgrounds. Thanks to Neelam J. Melwani, Torsten Fischer, Fabrizio Labatessa and Riccardo Giordano for the insights and sharing their stories. It was a really exciting: leaders across different industries highlighted the need for partnership and upstream solutions when looking at waste generation and management – addressing waste streams and collaborating across value chains from design to disposal is critical to addressing Scope 3 emissions, and achieving net-zero. Adopting circular economy principles encourages companies to look beyond their sphere of control to their sphere of influence – maximizing their impact and taking their emission reduction potential to the next level.
